Group Trip to Mexico City

Immerse yourself into the bustling streets of Mexico City (aka CDMX). A fascinating mix of the old and the new, feast your eyes on the colonial architecture that stands next to modern structures. Treat your taste buds to some of the best eats in all of Mexico, from street food to trendy restaurants in neighborhoods like La Roma, La Condesa, and Zona Rosa. You’ll learn about the city and culture from local entrepreneurs and creatives.

In one of the largest cities in the world filled with museums, restaurants, and shopping markets, we’ll take you to the gems of the city and introduce you to people who can’t wait to share their culture with you.

Itinerary

Day 1

Hello CDMX!

You’ll check in to the hotel, freshen up, and get to know the other travelers over a cooking class with an award-winning local chef. You’ll enjoy the prepared dishes with either an agua fresca or a cocktail.

Meals included: dinner

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head to the historical center and explore the area with a local expert. Learn how the ancient Aztec history mixed with Spanish rule has defined its current culture and architecture.

After this, it’s time to meander through the enchanting streets of the Coyoacan neighborhood. Picture this: age-old cobbled streets, art galleries, and artisan markets. We’ll stop at the market for a tostada lunch.

Our highlight in Coyoacan will be a guided tour of Frida Kahlo's iconic home, led by an art historian. It’s not just a house tour; it’s a journey into the soul of one of Mexico's most legendary artists.

In the evening we’ll head out for a night of tacos and beer crawl. On the menu are tacos de canasta (steamed and served from a basket), tacos de carnitas (slow cooked pork), and more. We’ll end the night by sampling some handcrafted beer or mezcal.

Meals included: breakfast + lunch + taco dinner

Day 3

Today you’ll experience a lively ride on a trajinera (similar to a gondola) in Xochimilco, one of the last remnants of Lake Texcoco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Kick back, relax, and enjoy a cold michelada while you listen to mariachis and munch on a delicious quesadilla.

You’ll have some free time before we head out for dinner reservations at a trendy restaurant.

Meals included: breakfast + lunch

Day 4

We’ll wake up early and head to the pyramids of Teotihuacan where you’ll get a glimpse of the ancient Aztec empire alongside a local expert.

Afterwards, we’ll have lunch inside a cave-turned-restaurant that serves pre-Columbus influenced cuisine. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can have a cricket margarita!

Back in the city, you’ll have the afternoon to yourself, so you can explore or buy any last minute souvenirs.

To wrap up the trip, we head out to a local restaurant.

Meals included: breakfast + dinner

Day 5

We’ll have breakfast together, then private airport transportation.

You’ll return home feeling invigorated and will be itching for your next trip to CDMX!

Meals included: breakfast
